DESCRIPTION
Fluticlear contains Fluticasone Propionate(FP). FP is a synthetic trifluorinated corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory activity. Fluticlear is supplied in a form suitable for nasal administration.
PHARMACOLOGY
Fluticlear is a synthetic trifluorinated corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory activity. Topical nasal steroids act by reducing late-phase allergic reactions and mucous secretion, inhibiting vascular permeability, preventing eicosanoid formation, inhibiting allergen-induced mediator release, and reducing eosinophil and basophil infiltration in nasal epithelium
INDICATION
Fluticlear nasal spray is indicated for the management of the nasal symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic & non-allergic rhinitis patients aged 4 years and older.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Fluticlear is an aqueous nasal spray is contraindicated in patients with a hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.
WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS
In patients who have asthma or other clinical conditions requiring long term systemic corticosteroid treatment, too rapid a decrease in systemic corticosteroid may cause severe exacerbation of their symptoms. The replacement of a systemic corticosteroid with a topical corticosteroid can be accompanied by signs of adrenal insufficiency and in addition, some patients may experience symptoms of withdrawal.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Adult and adolescents (>12 years): Use two sprays in each nostril once daily
Children aged 4-11 years: Use one spray in each nostril once daily
