COMPOSITION:

Wakfree Gel contains

Diclofenac diethylamine……1.16 % w/w

Menthol ………………………….5 % w/w

Methyl salicylate ………………10 % w/w

Linseed oil ……………………….3 % w/w

CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY:
Diclofenac is a potent analgesic which relieves pain and inflammation. Linseed oil acts as a local anaesthetic, It also helps in reducing inflammation and enhances diclofenac absorption. Methyl Salicylate in Wakfree Gel diverts the pain sensation and Menthol provides soothing and cooling action.

Diclofenac is a proven, commonly prescribed nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic properties, and has been shown to be effective in treating a variety of acute and chronic pain and inflammatory conditions

Virgin Linseed oil acts as a local anaesthetic, It also helps in reducing inflammation and enhances diclofenac absorption.

Methyl Salicylate in Wakfree Gel diverts the pain sensation and Menthol provides soothing and cooling action.

INDICATIONS:
Localised painful inflammatory conditions including sprains, strains, bruises, osteoarthritis of peripheral joints, tenosynovitis, myositis, bursitis, sports injuries, low back pain, localised form of soft tissue rheumatism, traumatic inflammation of tendons, muscles & joints. Mild osteoarthritis, periarthritis, frozen shoulder, cervical spondylitis. Patients in whom systemic NSAIDs are contraindicated.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:

Showering/bathing should be avoided for at least 1 hour after the application. Patient should wash his/her hands after use, unless the hands are the treated joint. If Wakfree Gel is applied to the hand(s) for treatment, patient should not wash the treated hand(s) for at least 1 hour after the application.

Wakfree Gel should not be applied to open wounds.
Contact of Wakfree Gel with eyes and mucous membranes should be avoided.
External heat and/or occlusive dressings should not be applied to treated joints.
Exposure of the treated joint(s) to sunlight should be avoided.
Wakfree Gel should not be used concomitantly with sunscreens, cosmetics, lotions, moisturizers, insect repellants, or other topical medications on the same skin sites has not been evaluated.
Concomitant use of Wakfree Gel with oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) has not been evaluated, and may increase adverse NSAIDs effects.
Wearing of clothing or gloves should be avoided for at least 10 minutes after applying Wakfree Gel.

DOSAGE:
1 inch of gel to be applied 3-4 times a day till film disappears.
