COMPOSITION:
Each tablet of Gooday contains
Doxylamine Succinate……..20 Mg
Pyridoxine HCl……20 mg
CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY:
Doxylamine succinate in Gooday, provides the antinauseant and antiemetic activity. Studies have shown that Pyridoxine itself could have an antinauseant activity apart from being an effective supplement of vitamin B6 to prevent a possible pyridoxine deficiency during pregnancy. The onset of the antiemetic activity of Gooday is delayed by a special polymer coating of the tablet; a dose taken at night will be effective in the morning, the time when it is most needed.
Indications and Clinical Uses:
In the management of nausea and vomiting of pregnancy (NVP).
Precautions:
Gooday is not advisable during lactation since pyridoxine can inhibit breast milk secretion. Gooday should be co-administered with caution along with other central nervous depressants, alcohol, in epileptic and levodopa-treated Parkinson patients.
Due to the risk of drowsiness, Gooday must be prescribed with caution to automobile drivers and machine operators.
Adverse Reactions:
